> Your Questions What additional service will I be able to see for the increase in my property tax?

Edmontonians have come to expect quality services and facilities from the City.

The operating budget provides funding for a wide variety of programs and services offered by the City.

This includes the operation of new libraries and fire stations.

It also funds the new staff and operational requirements of new recreation centers, like those at Meadows and Clareview.

A portion of the tax increase is allocated to the Neighbourhood Renewal program, which is a major capital investment.

It’s a long-term investment in the City’s neighbourhood infrastructure that promotes livability and sustainability.

As was the case in previous years, a portion of the proposed property tax increase is related to an increased investment in the Neighbourhood Renewal program.

This program has existed since 2009 and invests in the renewal, replacement and enhancement of neighbourhood infrastructure promoting the livability and sustainability of Edmonton’s neighbourhoods.
